Our Mission in Action

We always begin our year with a Membership Drive, welcoming younger (18 and older) and committed members to join our ministry. Following the drive, we host a variety of events such as the Arts & Crafts Fair and other parish activities that strengthen community bonds.

The CCW meets on the second Tuesday of every month from September to April at 6:00 PM in the parish social hall.
Each meeting includes fellowship, planning, and often a guest speaker on relevant topics such as:

  • Medicare Health Insurance
  • Cybersecurity Awareness
  • Pregnancy Crisis Support
  • Guardian Ad Litem Programs (helping children find foster homes)
  • Youth Engagement and Camp Assistance

We also proudly support our parish youth through the Golden Rose Award, which honors a young woman who goes above and beyond in faith, leadership, and service.

The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) is a Catholic service organization dedicated to faith, leadership, and community outreach. Our mission is accomplished through three commissions and one committee:

Spirituality Commission

The Spirituality Commission focuses on nurturing the spiritual life of our members and the parish community.
Its purpose is to help women grow closer to God through prayer, reflection, and the sacraments.

Activities and programs may include:

  • Organizing parish retreats, prayer services, and rosary gatherings.

  • Encouraging participation in daily Mass, adoration, and parish devotions.

  • Providing spiritual reading materials and faith resources.

  • Supporting initiatives that promote personal holiness and Christian witness in daily life.

Leadership Commission

The Leadership Commission empowers women to grow in confidence, communication, and organizational skills—encouraging them to take active roles in the parish and community.

This commission provides training and mentorship for both new and existing members.
Key areas of focus include:

  • Developing leadership workshops and faith-based education sessions.

  • Coordinating the Membership Drive and welcoming new members.

  • Encouraging collaboration among parish ministries.

  • Promoting women’s roles in Church leadership and decision-making.

Service Commission

The Service Commission puts faith into action by identifying and responding to the needs of the parish and local community.
Members serve with compassion and generosity through various outreach efforts, including:

  • Organizing food, clothing, and donation drives.

  • Supporting local charities, crisis pregnancy centers, and foster care programs.

  • Partnering with youth ministries to assist with camp fees and mission trips.

  • Visiting the sick, elderly, or homebound parishioners.

Legislative Advocacy Committee

The Legislative Advocacy Committee educates members about social and moral issues affecting our Church, community, and nation.
It encourages active and informed participation in civic life guided by Catholic teaching.

The committee works to:

  • Raise awareness of legislative matters concerning life, family, education, and religious freedom.

  • Promote letter-writing campaigns or prayer vigils for just causes.

  • Collaborate with diocesan and national CCW councils to share information and resources.
