LEADING PEOPLE CLOSER TO CHRIST

Holy Communion

  • Students in our Religious Education program are prepared for First Communion and First Reconciliation as part of Children's Religious Education on Sunday mornings.
  • These sacraments are available to children who have already been baptized and are at least in second grade or higher
  • If the child is not baptized, she/he can still attend the program while being prepared also for Baptism (we will help with this process)
  • The preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is a two year process: the child needs to fully attend the 1st and 2nd grade in Religious Education

It is important that families consistently participate in Religious Ed. from an early age so students will be fully prepared and understand the importance sacraments hold in our Faith Journey!

What is Holy Communion (the Eucharist)? Is it really the Body and Blood of Christ?
