My name is Sister Rose Urbanczyk and I belong to the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family, a Polish congregation with the charism of working for the unity of the Church. I was born and raised in Poland in the devout Catholic family of seven; it was there that I joined the congregation and, after formation, professed the vows.

I taught religion in K-8 in Poland before being sent to United States in 1993. I studied at Marquette University, WI from where I earned my BA in elementary education, later earned Master’s in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale, FL…..and now also pursuing Master’s in Theology at St. Leo University.

My service to God’s people included work as a nursing assistant, a teacher, director of Religious Education, campus minister, and vocation minister for my congregation. My favorite thing to do is hiking and spending time in nature, but also baking and gardening. I live here in Ormond Beach, together with two sisters, in our convent right of 40 in our lovely Plantation Pines neighborhood.

I’m very excited for this opportunity to journey together in faith with the people of Prince of Peace. Let’s pray for each other and work together to be more and more the true disciples of Jesus. May He be the center of everything we do.
